Block C (1-3) English 11

There was a teensy-tiny quiz on analyzing fiction at the start of class. Afterwards, you had the class to read your novels and work on your response journals.

FOR NEXT CLASS: Be prepared for Literature Circle #2. Remember, it's worth 10% of the unit mark!

Block D (1-4) Socials 10

You learned about the PAWS PoV method of analyzing political cartoons today. You took some notes and we discussed a contemporary cartoon of George W. Bush on the topic of war. Be prepared to put those skills to work next week.

We discussed the primary document from last class and did a short paraphrase of the first page together. Then you partnered up and gleaned five to seven major ideas from the rest of the document. Those were handed in at the end of class.

FOR NEXT CLASS: Take a look in your textbooks at the Durham Report. Or for a more succinct explanation, check this out.
